if you had to drop out of a class you are not a failure

if you had to take time off school you are not a failure

if you had to leave school for good you are not a failure

your worth is not determined by academia and this goes doubly so for disabled people and others for whom school is set against them

If you ask yourself “Would Gomez Addams treat me this way?” And the answer is no, move tf on from that situation.

If you’re a wlw ask if Morticia would ever treat you this way.

If the answer is no, move on.

“Is this how an Addams would behave?” Is the best way to make sure you’re being treated fairly and with love

I’ve said this before but:

Live your life, treat others, and carry yourself in a way that would make Morticia Addams proud.

Reminders for the Anxious/Depressed Creatives

  • You’re more than what you make.
  • Your productivity does not determine your value.
  • It’s okay to do nothing sometimes.
  • Not everything you do has to result in a product.
  • Not everything you make has to be important, significant, or even good.
  • You can make things just for yourself.
  • You can keep secrets for yourself, whether it’s not posting some of your projects or not sharing your techniques.
  • You’re allowed to say no.
  • You’re allowed to rest.

I really need to hear these more often

I will make a T-shirt for you with these @bryntwedge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyone needs to hear these.

i feel like i need to be reminded of this all the time tbh

Academic failure doesn’t mean personal failure! School isn’t everything, and you aren’t a bad person if your grades are low. It isn’t your fault, and you don’t have to feel guilty about it. Your life isn’t ruined. It’ll be okay.
