its pretty telling how the “most financially responsible” way of paying for college is “hope your parents start saving up when youre an infant” too

i had this conversation with a wealthy kid that went like “if your parents knew you were smart and had a chance at college why didn’t they save money” and that on its own is a fucking racist mess to say but

i was like “they live paycheck to paycheck” and he’s like “couldn’t they just put some of it aside” like dude… do you know what paycheck to paycheck means?
